EXTJS vs automation testing

Hi all,
We're recently using EXTJS component in our application. The main thing that we've missed out is, we could not able to do the automation testing with the EXTJS components. For example, the basic thing is we couldn't able to recognize the checkbox that's getting rendered in the EXTJS grid component. Can anybody throw some ideas on this how to achieve the missing functionality.

it all depends on if your tool of choice can render (or emulate a browser) JS properly. What are you using?
