The column size can be changed by dragging the border in runtime in the totals project.

There are a few browser issues - just looking at the totals demo http://extjs.com/playpen/gxt/totals/
In FF3 the the totals of items is wrong... it seems to be adding on the previous amounts (ie I get 7 Tasks, then 17 Tasks, then 31 Tasks) - my maths is not great, but I'm pretty sure this is wrong /:)
In IE7 the whole grid is rendered wrong - the columns are initially compressed together and it throws a runtime exception (I think this is what cqiao is seeing) - don't ya just love IE 8-|
I also believe there are window resize issues too... but will need to provide test cases for that and will do soon... :s

Both bugs have been fixed for the totals grid and the code is updated:

Advanced combo does not work at all in IE7.
Sample works fine in FF3.

Really looks awesome, very impressive job, can't wait to use it!
Small Bug in IE (not in Opera):
In the Totals examples, you cannot select text in the TextField.
This actually happens in GXT1.0.2 when you add a TextField to a Table.

Mayurid, probably you should have created a new thread.
You should also include some piece of code, so we can see why your sample is not working.
If you don't want to do so, try following the sample that displays the total information:
