Clickable labels

Is there any specific reason for Ext GWT's control labels not being clickable? That is, if I click on the label for a checkbox, its the same as clicking on the checkbox. A tester noticed that an "old" page still based solely on GWT worked as expected, but the new ones based on Ext GWT didn't.
