The new Portal-Portlet functionality is very useful in itself, but way to simplistic. It has only 3 public methods, and allows almost nothing to be configured programatically. I know that giving the client control over to many things may be the reason something goes wrong, but this is the way the functionality matures, and giving us access to almost nothing is worst. What I would like to do is this:
- I have a 3 column (.25, .50, .25) Portal and some portlets inside
- I want the main area (the middle one) to stay put, meaning I don't want it to be moved by the other portlets
- can this be done now with only one portal or do I have to create three different portals with only one column each?
