And, it is a good thing that it is available in scriptaculous attached with a permissive MIT license...ripe and ready to convert.

UPDATE: Trust me, I hate talking web pages as much as the next person. However, I think there is value having a small sound whenever you close a Ext.window, re-open it or if a notification pops up. Perhaps, I am alone... :)

I'm likely to close any web site that makes noises at me immediately without pausing to see if the content is worthwhile at all.

If I want my computer to make noise, I'll download an MP3, or a TV program like from BBC's iPlayer. Applications should not disturb. IMNSHO, it's as bad as <blink>

Definitely agree with Animal on the fact of closing pages immediately if sound is started, especially if there's no way to stop it. Not even 16 year old girls should be allowed to have it on their MySpace pages.

I'd also like to point out that <blink> and <marquee> were awesome in their times.

You weren't cool unless your text elements blinked, and your headlines scrolled.
