I think the forums would be quite a bit more friendly if the thread order was reversed.
I know that in most cases the first posting explains the thread and it being last makes no sense, but I believe this could be worked around with a sticky option. Allow the thread creator to sticky important posts, this could also potentially save the reader a lot of time.
