feature differences between Ext JS and Ext GWT

Hi,

My company is currently evaluating whether use to Ext JS, or Ext GWT. There is more Java expertise in-house which is why we're leaning toward using Ext GWT, but the application that we will be building will be extremely feature-rich and my concern is that there is a bit of a feature-lag with applications created by Ext GWT.

For example, one of our application's requirements is to rearrange table columns through drag-and-drop. I noticed that this is available with Ext JS but not with Ext GWT.

Is there a list somewhere that summarizes the differences in RIA functionality between Ext JS and Ext GWT?

Also, with the release of Ext JS 3.0/Ext GWT 2.0, will the gap between these differences be narrowed?

I have the same question. If anybody can elaborate I'd appreciate it.

Our projects are more server oriented, and service oriented. So processing is always on the server.

Being able to deploy an interface for our current general purpose execution platform is what we are after.

I don't know the features of ExtJS. All I can tell you is I have all I need in Ext GWT, except sliders and charts (which will be in 2.0 release).

Did you take a look at the roadmap and the explorer ?

Thanks. I did take a look at the roadmap, but still didn't see anything specific as to actual feature differences between Ext GWT and Ext JS.

I'm hoping that Ext GWT 2.0 will completely close the gap, but I'm also wondering if the corresponding Ext JS 3.0 version will introduce new features that won't be in Ext GWT 2.0

Also, our company will definitely need to have drag and drop column rearrangement that's currently in Ext JS 2.2 but apparently missing from the Ext GWT, so I hope that goes into the next version of Ext GWT.
