View Full Version : Viewport does not use the full window area in IE7

GXT version: 1.2.2
OS: Window XP SP3
Browser: IE7

I use the Viewport class to get a layout that covers the full client area of the browser window. This seems to work fine in FF3. But in IE7 there are a few pixels at right and bottom that are not covered. This is not a blocker but it certainly looks not good.

// construct some panel that will be added to the viewport
ContentPanel contentPanel = new ContentPanel();
contentPanel.setHeading("Hello World");

// create the viewport
Viewport viewport = new Viewport();
viewport.setLayout(new FitLayout());
viewport.add(contentPanel);

// activate the viewport
RootPanel.get().add(viewport);

Please update to 1.2.3. Also i doubt that this was an issue in 1.2.2. Nobody else reported it and i never saw it. Please make sure non of your css is making this change. Does the viewport here http://extjs.com/explorer/#overview also habe blank space for you?

I cannot see any of the problems I reported. The space is fully used in IE7. The showcase is using a Viewport?

I will move to 1.2.3 and look if the problem is gone there for my case.

Thx so far
