Yes, it is.

But we heard that gxt 2.x will be prepared for gwt 1.6

And it is good to know if gxt 1.x will also be, or an update to gxt 2.x will be a must for gwt 1.6

the last release is 1.5.3, but we are in GWT 1.6 M2 you can get it in svn
