is it not possible that a menucheckitem have a iconCls? When i set checked: true and a iconCls not checkbox is rendered...

No, a menu item only has a single image that can either be used by the checkbox or by the icon, but not both.

ps. If you really want an image you could also include an img tag in the menu item text.
