For our application, we need side tabs.
Unfortunately, with GWT is timely not possible.

You can take a look at this example: http://extjs.com/deploy/ext-3.0-rc2/examples/grouptabs/

It is written for extjs but it is quite easy to transform it to be a gxt one.
