yui and yui ext

Hi all
Im new here, so ask simple question for begining :>
Is yiu ext library use standart yui lib ? And what kind of relations between them ?

EDIT: notice also that in the new Ext 1.1 beta release there's a 4th option, Ext stand-alone (experimental), which does not rely on any extra library.
