View Full Version : Google hosted mode browser won't load gxt-all.css

I did a virgin installation of GXT 2.0, used the GWT tools in Eclipse to do a hello world (greeting) new GWT project, and copied all the folders under resources into the war folder as per the install instructions. I chose to make my {foldername} be: war/WEB-INF/gxt.

Maybe this is a stupid place to put it, but the Google host mode browser will not load gxt-all.css if it is anywhere within WEB-INF. Adding the <link> tag to my home page with the correct paths repeatedly gets a 404 error in hosted mode. It will only be found if I move it up to the "root" level (directly under war) and have no path on my stylesheet href in the main page.

I've checked and rechecked my paths. It's something about being down in WEB-INF apparently.

What am I doing wrong??

Thanks,
John

Keep the 'gxt' web resources out of WEB-INF. That's not the right place for it, as its a web resource and not an application resource. I have it in '/war/gxt' and reference it in my html with:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="gxt/css/gxt-all.css" />

Hope that helps!
