[Forum request] Alert user if another post is made while adding a response

I've seen a nice feature in another web app (gmail?) that I'd like to see in this forum, if possible. Let's say I'm writing a response to a thread and someone else responded before I finished. I'd like to get notified about this before I submit my response.

Is this possible with vBulletin?

I look around this weekend for something of that sort and it does not exist. I will look into seeing if it would be easy to write a hack to do this but i can not promise anything.

I was actually thinking more about you guys (Ext team) and some of the other heavy posters on the forum more than myself. :) I know a couple of times I posted something right before an Ext team member did, and this functionality could have saved them some time.

True and I think that it would be a cool hack/add-on to have in any forum.

Might have to take a look at doing this and giving it a bit of some Ext Style...especially now that vBulletin is powered by YUI.
