Hi, I am learning about css styling to reduce the amount of extra code I did just to layout the objects.

I realized I could make the form items be next to each otehr if I add style with the x-form-item float:left but the problem is I could not seem to access that style part.

If i do setStyleName it changes the input style of the form element and not the div before hand.

So How could I change it?

after looking at the code, i found out it is formlayout doing that extra div around. However when I try styling it, I realized ie and firefox renders different. firefox will be like a horizontal panel but ie will still be vertical. So I guess by using horizontalpanel which makes a table is the best way and making the elements in the table go though a formlayout first.

tip1: you can also use the classes .gxt-gecko / .gxt-gecko3 / .gxt-ie etc. to define different css stlyes for each browser.
