Hello all,

I'm new in GXT and I'm reading a lot of information and doing some test because I'm developing a personnal application with pure-GWT and I like to improve it.

I've copied the "Form" code from the explorer-demo (http://extjs.com/examples/explorer.html#forms (http://extjs.com/forum/../examples/explorer.html#forms)) in an eclipse project, added all the resources and everything is fine in hosted mode and deployed mode in tomcat in windows. But when I deploy the .war generated in windows or generate a new .war in linux and deploy it to a linux tomcat server, the result is awful (see the attached image). In linux, in hosted mode all the components are displayed perfect, but when I deploy the result to my server... well, you can see the result.

Do I need additional configuration for linux tomcat?. I've been searching in the forum but I haven't found anything.

I think that the attached image is too slow. You can view a full image here: http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/1781/testgxt.png.

Edit: I've just tested with jetty and I got the same result...

Thanks a lot and regards, Iván.

P.S: Sorry for my bad english, it's not my mother language.

Hi again,

I've been doing some test I can't believe what I've found. I have deployed again my test application in tomcat (or jetty) and I've started a vmware windows virtual machine. Then I've tried my test application in windows firefox and windows IE and the result is perfect.

The real problem is with firefox in linux!!!. In browser compatibility list (http://extjs.com/products/gxt/) appears:
Internet Explorer 6+
FireFox 1.5+ (PC, Mac)
Safari 3+
Opera 9+ (PC, Mac)So, ok, Firefox in linux is not supported, but I can't believe that is true. Moreover, when I try the explorer demo in firefox in linux everything was correct.

It is really not possible to display correctly the pages done with GXT in firefox in linux??.

Regards, Iván.

I dont have any issues with firefox on Linux. Also if the demo explorer gets displayed correctly for you, than something will be wrong on your side.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Maybe I wasn't very clear (sorry again for my english). The explorer demo that works ok was the online explorer demo in extjs.com. The deployed explorer demo in my tomcat is not correct, I have the same issues...

Anyway, I have found the problem and the solution. It was because the zoom of the page in my browser was not the default zoom. It was one zoom below the normal zoom :">. When I reset the zoom to the default all was displayed nice :). And that's all.
I'm going to study the framework and adapt my application to GXT. Thanks for all.

Regards, Iván.
