Unable to mask the AsyncTreeGrid

I tried to put the mask(or any other busy spinner to tell the status) before data loaded into AsyncTreeGrid. But the mask is not appearing on top of AsyncTreeGrid.

As it works fine in the case of AsyncGrid. Can anybody help me in resolving this?
