Ext Basic From a Newbie

I just finished experimenting with the basic and complex layout and ready to move on to add a few other components to the ContentPanels that I have created in the layout. My first question, do I have to write all the sub components in the same layout.js file or write them in separate file per page. Example, in my first ContentPanel, I want to add a form for searching a specifice user or group of users or all users. Once the result set has been returned, I would like to load the a gridpanel to the ContentPanel and have have have the result grid panel render in it. My second question is do I have to remove all of these and create a new one for the next result set or should I just be able to reuse it?
