Grid flipped on the side

Hello,

I use the Grid and EditorGrid successfully in several places and really like it. However in one situation I would like the same functionality as the grid provide but with the header in the left side instead of at the top. It doesn't appear to be possible, is that correct ?
What alternatives do I have, fx do the old Tabel somehow support this ?

Hope someone can help me out.

you can format the first column as you like. and also if can look like a header.
or you mean also that it stays always visible like the header?

Yes I mean staying visible, the user being able to select which columns (or in this case rows) to display etc.
