I have written a post about scope. Taken from basic javascript scope to basic extjs scope. Meant as a starter and a clearifier for those struggling with these things.
Understanding JavaScript scope and finally ExtJs scope. (http://aboutfrontend.com/2009/09/understanding-javascript-scope-and-extjs-scope/)
If anyone have feedback, please shoot!

I think you are introducing comcepts which do not exist, but which people will glom onto. There is no such thing as "ExtJs scope".

Of course not - but there still is a lot of questions and confusion about scope in this forum. :-)

There is. I've recently overhauled the docs so that every place where the scope option exists, there is the same hopefully explanatory form of words describing what it specifies, and what happens if you do not specify it.

That sounds good!
I will update the post and make things a bit more clear. Thanks for input!
