Right now 3.00 is available, while 3.02 is for subscription members. Will 3.01 be released to the public soon?

I'm interested in the following note from the [change log](http://extjs.net/products/extjs/CHANGES_ext-3.0.1.html):

Modify the form class to catch bubbling events from children.

Thanks

Hi,

in this context @extjs: Why the thread http://www.extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78637&page=5 are closed? Maybe this discussion is "uncomfortable" for the leader of ExtJS but I think, that this is an open constuctive discussion and if such a constructive discussions is undesired and not possible, it's an technical k.o. for an project which also participate from the community.
So the main problem isn't that we all wait for "super new unexpected features". In the first instance we want a product which contains bug free features.
I would support it, if there would be an version which contains new features and is first only available for subscriberes - later for non-paying people - and another version which contains ONLY bug fixes.

By the way: Really great respect for this really great product!!!!!

Hi.

GXT community suffers from the same problem.
I created a similar thread on GXT forum, and it was also closed:
http://extjs.net/forum/showthread.php?t=80960

No comments on when to expect a public release was made...

But bugs happen, unfortunatelly. And there are certain cases where bugs are very big... they must be fixed because if they don't, my software is not valuable at all.

Fine, in a little over 30 days (or maybe 30 to 59 days, who knows) we will have a new release.

Imagine then a serious bug is found.
Subscribers have no problem.

How about the others? How long will they need to wait to be able to use the new version?

You guys too much think on a good scenario in mind... but bad scenarios as this one CAN happen...

And for those cases, the system you use for delivering public releases fails completely.

micgala,

We want to be apart of your success. I will say this, look at what we did for GXT.

We thought we got it right with 2.0 but it turns out we had a few critical bugs. We did the right thing and released 2.0.1 publicly.

I did stumble upon the roadmap while looking for an answer to when 3.01 would be publicly available, but found no information related to my question there. And actually, it doesn't seem to contain any information about whether the releases will be subscription only vs. public.

Is it a policy that minor version changes (3.01, 3.02) are for subscription members only, while major releases are public+subscription?

Thanks

Minor releases have always been available to license holders. (ie no need to purchase at 3.0 and again at 3.1)

Off topic, but I was able to implement the change I was interested in (bubble up field 'change' events to formPanel). At least thats what I believe the change was trying to accomplish.

In your formpanel:

this.find('isFormField', true).forEach(function (field) {
field.enableBubble('change');
});

Be aware that 'isFormField' is marked private.
`forEach` is not implemented in all browsers on arrays, but you can add it on to the prototype, search mdc

Are minor releases released to the public? Perhaps lagging behind slightly? As I asked originally, 3.02 is out now to subscription holders, will 3.01 be released publicly?

Yes, under the GPL+FLOSS

Okay, so 3.01 and 3.02 will be released to the public under the GPL, now its just a matter of when? On the downloads page I am only able to download 3.00 right now:

Every 3-4 months the commits that went into the svn release will make their way into public minor releases. Our public releases - Major versions - 3.0 and Minor versions - 3.1 are released under the GPL+FLOSS

To clear any confusion, 3.1 will be released publicly under the GPL+FLOSS and contain the commits found in 3.0.1 and 3.0.2. 3.1 will also contain new features found on the road map.

We have multiple licenses but no support subscriptions so replies that discuss GPL+FLOSS don't apply to us -

1. Will there ever be a time when we can download and use 3.0.1/3.0.2? If so, when?

2. Will we be able to download and use 3.1 when it's released?

Ah, I realize I was using the wrong terms: 'minor and 3.01', when I should have been saying: 'tiny and 3.0.1', which was no doubt adding to the general confusion here :)

Thanks for the reply

It sounds like:

1. No
2. Yes

With a Support Subscription you can download it now. Alternatively, you can wait until the commits are rolled into 3.1

2. Will we be able to download and use 3.1 when it's released?

3.x Commerical License holders are entitled to all 3.x public minor releases for free.

Dear Abe Elias.

Gwt 2.0.2 was release with no less, no more, then 117 bug fixes.
And we are not talking about small fixes, glitches and so on. We are talking, in many of the problems, about real bugs in FUNCTIONALITY.

Cool, gwt 2.0.1 was released publicly because it had "a few critical bugs".

We are now talking about 117 (ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTEEN) bug fixes from gxt 2.0.1 to gxt 2.0.2 (as you can see here: http://www.extjs.com/products/gxt/CHANGES_extgwt-2.0.2.html).

How much bugs will be needed so you can think about releasing it to the public??

Ext JS 3.1 and Ext GWT 2.1 will be released soon (Early November). If you need access to SVN, we offer support subscriptions.
