Hi Everyone,

I'm not sure this is the right forum, please let me know where to post if it isn't!

I just wanted to share some good news. After several months of development, the Samba Team is happy to announce that we have launched our Private Beta for SambaJam, a highly productive and sexy Content Management and Collaboration application (think BaseCamp and Huddle but better, not being biased, just honest! ;)).

The majority of the front end has been developed using GXT and the outcome is very interesting. We are now focusing on increasing the performance of the front-end and the loading time perception (I will post a blog on www.sambastream.com (http://www.sambastream.com) once this is done to highlight any interesting findings or techniques that you can use for yourselves! This is likely to come in the next few months. I will likely post a link to the blog once it's written so that everyone can benefit from any further performance enhancements I find).

In the mean time, if anyone is interested in joining our Beta program and has an active interest in the Collaboration and Content Management space, please get in touch with me on the forum or simple sign-up for the Private Beta here:

http://www.sambastream.com/form/sambajam-private-beta

Once you are in the system, you can actually invite other user's into your Space and start collaborating together i.e. you won't be alone in the collaboration system (defeats the point!!), you can actually invites others to use the system with you and enjoy the features of SambaJam.

This is not a shameless plug, I just want the world to see what you can do with GXT and show that this is a library with an endless potential. It's also a pleasure to work with the GXT team who are open to feedback and actually action it, as shown by this post I put to the forum a while back:

http://www.extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69804 (http://www.extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70115)

That was taken to heart and the enhancements described were actually included into GXT 2.0 for everyones benefit! Thanks guys!

We are currently working hard and putting out weekly releases to patch problems and include enhancements. So stay tuned.

Feel free to contact me if yo want more information, want to chat about GXT, are interested in the Beta, or whatever springs to mind.

Thanks,

Ale

Sven, who do I need to get in touch with to put SambaStream as one of the companies on the main website, that uses GXT?
