Hi, I was looking at the license type for Ext JS and I'm confuse with some terms, in the text said that you must buy a commercial license if you don't want to release the source code for you application, my confusion is because I will like to use the framework for developing a website for my company, I will not doing an application that I attempt to sell, do I still need to buy a commercial license??, thanks for any help

If you don't buy a commercial license then you need to use Ext JS under the terms of the GPL3 license. There's a FAQ for this here (http://www.extjs.com/products/license-faq.php).

thanks for your reply, however I still have a lot of confusion, I had read the entire FAQ and it talks about software and binaries and installers, I don't want to modified the code nor extended, I'm not doing any software but instead I just have my company website where I run a bunch of videos, my clients have password for watching the videos and that's it, I'm using plain html and some server script like php, so I just want to use Ext JS to run my website, where anybody can see the source code of the js and the html, but not the php of course, that's all, in other words, to create a website not a software, for example suppose Adobe wants to use the library in their website, do they need to buy a license?? thanks for any help

If the Ext license pages don't help then you should email licensing@extjs.com for an answer specific to your situation

I think the Powers That Be have stated unequivocally that they will not answer licensing questions in an open forum, i.e. here.
