Hi, All:

Today we also released extjs 3.0 based spreadsheet and presentation - both in Beta release. There are only basic function available. However, it proves that we can use extjs to build nearly everything.

I do not know how many developers google push to their online document, but we only have very limited hands (4 ?) to build our online document with short time - and we are not smart people that is for sure (maybe 50% as smart as Jack). That is double prove the powerful of extjs. Thanks extjs team.

I can't view in IE7 and getting an error in FF2.5 in the calendar. From what I see, I really like though!

Hi, Moegal:

We test in IE6 and IE 7, our calendar works on those 2 version. And for FF2.5, we did not do test - there can be a problem. We test in FF3.5. Would your please post the error message for us. So we can have a deep look.

Thanks

Very nice work.

In the past, I did a simple spreadsheet like web app for internal employees to copy n paste from Excel to update a database. I can appreciate the hard work put into doing these apps.

Again very nice work.

I really like the spreadsheet application, but since it is not open-source, how can you expect us to be able to use it?????

Hi, coolstar:

Spreadsheet project is more work than calendar. We are still in the process to move it forward. Next release will be better than currently one.

We are still thinking how to make it open source. As you can see, we spent lots of hours (>1000 hours) on this project. Honestly, we need some money to survive.

We plan this application will be downloadable next 1-2 months. However, we are not guarantee it will be open source.

How much longer are you going to take? I desperately need a spreadsheet and a presentation program.

Hi, Coolstar:

Thanks for your interesting, and sorry for delay.

Spreadsheet is a killer. It is really need lots of effort on this. Until now we have spent 1900 hours on this project. As you can see, we added bunch of features recently:

1: Multiple sheets
2: Import/export as excel - import will coming soon
3: chart support
4: Images insert.
5: fixed lots of bug - and it look much better.

If you play it in our site, you will see this is not a small project.

For us, we can not make this project as open source. We are running out of money after build calendar and spreadsheet, and we need some money to survive.

So if you need it, please send us the requirement and we will give your the price based on your required (for example: need all source, project based on developer based etc).

Hopefully this is ok for your.

Regards!

HI FFzhuang

I have spend some time checking the spreadsheet and its cool and works overall excellent but i found some bugs

1.- if you enter in a cell =sum(a1) it get an error and weir stuff is comming next but if you tell =sum(a1:b1) it has no problem , always has to be 2 cells at least

2.- if you hide a column like example column D you select Column C and E and you may show it again its cool and for rows apply the same logic , but the big but is that if the first colum is hidden you may not show it again.
Now you may undo it but row numbers gets weird and the divisional lines dissapear

Hope reporting this issues will help your spreadsheet
keep up the good work ;)

Thanks Cmendez21:

For your report those bugs. We will record those issue and fix them soon.

A little bit slow recently just because we are rebuild our system. The new system will include group / contact etc. Try to integrate facebook + google doc function with extjs.

We will come back soon to fix those issue in Spreadsheet.

Thanks for your help.

Regards!
