[UNKNOWN][3.??] HtmlEditor doesn't toggle bold correctly

When I am typing a string of letters, as I toggle Italic and Underline, the style is applied as I type. Bold is not. When my users type a bold section like:

BOLD TITLE: normal text

they have to space before toggling bold for it to take affect.

Update:

I found that it is due to pre-existing sections of text using the <strong> tag.
Ext HtmlEditor inserts <b> tags, and works correctly with that tag. It does not recognize <strong> text as bold, however, and this is the cause of my original report.
