hi together,

the config enableKeyEvents of Ext.form.TextField makes trouble with firebug.

with firebug 1.4.5, there is once a warning. freely translated:

"do not use the charCode-attribute of a keyup-event. that value is meaningless."

in german: "Die 'charCode'-Eigenschaft eines keyup-Ereignisses sollte nicht verwendet werden. Der Wert ist bedeutungslos."

the same occurs for keydown.

now, with firebug 1.5.0, both warnings appear on each keypress, spamming the console with unwanted warnings.

i am not sure, if this is an issue of firebug or ext using those charCodes, but a solution that does not spam warnings would be nice.

kind regards,
tobiu

Turn Javascript warnings off in the console!

only keypress events (should) generate charCodes (i.e. printable characters), so checking the charCode of a keyup/down event is absolutely meaningless.

firebug's simply complaining / issuing a warning, so it's safe to simply ignore it (or turn it off like @animal says).
