Proper Usage of Session.js

My question revolves around "Best Practices" of the usage of Session.js in the HTML Head Content.

Should it be ONLY called Once for a particular session such as on a main page containing the viewport that all content will be rendered?

or

Should it be called on very form/page?

or

Only when accessing a form or page in another database.
