Hi,
I'm a javascript newbie
I tried putting every javascript and css file onto a new one to make the
"Basic Dialog" script work, but it just would not.
Can anyone suggest what I'm missing out on??
what is it that is not making it work?
thanks,
vatsal

With all due respect, thats a very common reply in forums when a newbie posts a very obvious / or stupid or in any way misleading question.
Thats why, I asked if someone could "suggest" what might have gone wrong even after linking to the .js and .css files listed on the page source, and not necessarily waste their time gazing into their crystal balls just for me.
I "suggest" you make a new "funny" sentence for other newbies unlike me.. It might make the forum a better place.

What???
You left a 'my code is broke - help me' post, no details, no explanation.
You just joined this forum - did you bother to read any other posts? How about the one titled 'Javascript newbie'. If you're familiar enough with forums to know what kind of response you'll get when you post a question like that, why did post that way in the first place?

I was kind of expecting that, but I was feeling too lazy then to make a new page and put it up on the internet, as I had already deleted the original page out of sheer frustration, which was much more time consuming.
I just found out that I had fallen prey to a silly mistake caused by that very frustration.
I now have it fixed.
Sorry 'bout that, I just wanted the damn thing to work at that time, not realising it was a silly mistake.
