When I install Ext Designer on my Windows XP machine it bombs. See attachment. What other information would be useful?

This happen once it tried to install the latest version.

I believe this is happening when the downloaded update is corrupted.

We will add a checksum and verify against it before trying to load the app. What happens on subsequent relaunches? Does this *always* happen?

It usually happend once after an update. But not always I think. Did not take notes. Will do if it happens again.

Thanks for the notes.

Restarting my PC and trying again solved the problem, or maybe there was a new version lauched since yesterday afternoon.

When I started the designer again on my XP machine it bombed again. My current version was 1.0.0.7b.
- I started designer. It asked me do you want to install the new version. I pressed Install. After the download time, it bombed like mention above.
- I tried again as mentioned in first step. Bombed.
- I restarded my PC.
- I tried again as mentioned in first step. Bombed.
- I de-installed completely the application.
- I re-installed.
- I tried again as mentioned in first step. Bombed.
- I tried again as mentioned in first step. Bombed.
- I noticed that there was a process Ext Designer staying in memory, for each time I started the application. I killed those.
- I tried again... same thing.
- I tried about 5 more times...
- After that it worked. !!

These tried were done before the system was shot down this morning, for hardware upgrade.

Hopefully when I will try to upgrade next time... this will not be there. If it is I will try installing it few times before I quit.

If things get better I will let you know.
