How to make a region use BorderLayout.SplitRegion

If I create border layout and add regions they default to Ext.layout.BorderLayout. I see there is a checkbox for split, but I am trying use config options from Ext.layout.BorderLayout.SplitRegion.

Set the split configuration and it will create a BorderLayout.SplitRegion.
