I assume that the thread below is closed, hence creating a new thread

Two issues

1) In IE HTMLEditor Color menu doesn't showup.
IE8 and extJS 3.1

2) FF shows color menu, but ...
The selected color is not preserved in the menu.
Like for ex: choose a color other than Red (Which is visible by default), the selected color is not visible on the menu.

1) The poster indicated that the issue is fixed with a newer version.

2) This isn't a bug, just a limitation. It would be extremely difficult to implement this properly cross browser, for very little functionality. Other editors, such as tinyMCE or CKEditor don't do this either.

Thanks for the Quick Reply.
I just noticed that the previous color selected is highlighted when the menu appears but not on the toolbar itself.
But the highlight is not precise enough, it has a very light background
