Seems that some services (like Ning) is often generating URLs for their images with asterisk. Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'dom' of null

Here is my stacktrace:
If I refresh the page, everything works like it should. It is just an issue during the login process. Am I doing something wrong? Everything seems pretty straightforward to me, but it's just getting caught there for some reason.
