Biography

I started developing software in 1985. That was in CICS Cobol on an IBM 4381 mainframe (for the oldies on this forum). Since 1987 I started developing on the IBM AS/400. For me that is still one of the highlights in my carrier.

Since a couple of years I am caught by Internet development and mainly in building information systems for the web. I am caught by the products of Sencha and in combination with CodeIgniter I am building larger systems for my customers.

Coming from the IBM AS/400 (Iseries) environment, for which I have developed almost 20 years, I think that Sencha's Ext JS with a good server backend, is a good way to approach an environment for developing great business applications for the web.

ExtJS offers everything to focus on the business process that has to be interpreted into software functionality.

I have developed now systems for the medical and construction industry. The oldest one is now running for 3 years, serving almost 600 users, nationwide in Germany.
