I can apply a template for the first time to the combobox

BUT how to change it by another template after

My situation
I have a unique combobox in the north viewport

in the center
If the grid1 is active I want to apply the xtemplate1 to the combobox
If the grid2 is active I want to apply the xtemplate2 to the combobox

How to make this change
