An old thread, but I just wanted to add my 2c worth since, like abickford, I have lived n0thing's problem, and would like to record my solution for anyone else that comes this way.

    As far as I can...
  3. Checkbox label alignment is broken on older versions of firefox (May be broken in other configurations as well, but tested under FF 2.0.0.18 on various Linux flavors).

    See attached screenshot. Can...

We've just launched HiringPool, our web application, the client side of which is built entirely on GXT. If other developers are interested in seeing a complete GXT app, you can check it out here:...
  6. I am seeing an UnsupportedOperationException thrown only in web mode. I have traced it back to the onLoad method of ListStore. The externally supplied List is not copied which is bad if someone is...

You shouldn't need to do most of this anymore. Check out vanilla 2.0 trunk and then follow the GWT 1.6 upgrade instructions:...
  9. stable enough for me...

I am getting ready to deploy and wanted GWT 1.6 + jetty, so GXT 2.0 it is.
  10. Ok. But the pictures don't lie. Probably a browser version issue. I will look into it a bit deeper.
  11. Firefox. Linux.

    Which browser are you using?
  12. Run the "ToolBar & Menus -> Basic ToolBar" explorer demo against the 2.0 trunk. Open up the "Button w/menu" button and then one of its submenus. The main menu shrinks when the submenu opens. Although...

Part of the reason for GXT taking longer is this is not an apples-to-apples comparison.
    - Swing and SWT are desktop toolkits. No messy HTML to deal with. APIs can be as clean as you want them to...

  15. Disabling a PagingToolBar replaces the refresh button icon with the animated loading gif, ie:

    images/default/grid/refresh.gif

    is replaced with:

    images/default/grid/loading.gif

    This is...

Ok. Kinda the nature of the Gridly beast to be fixed-sized, but I take your point. AFAIK GWT's grid is also fixed size so that's not a distinguishing feature. You want something more like GWT's...
  17. Blue, Grey, Slate all have the same problem. The Column headers don't seem to vary with the Theme. I use Grey.
  18. No.
  19. "unadulterated"
  20. Odd.

Screenshots are from hosted mode under linux (browser is firefox), running the Explorer launch config from eclipse in an unadluterated checked-out trunk. I see the same problem in my...
  21. Looks like the background is not rendering for some reason. It does on mouseover. See attached thumbnail - Symbol column header background is rendered, but I had to mouseover it to get that to happen.
  22. Run the explorer in trunk. Look at the grid header. Not good. Screenshot attached.

A few people have said this. I'd be interested in some examples because I don't really understand the distinction. I started out coding my app in GWT but switched to MyGWT (and then GXT) because the...

Just to weigh in with my 2c worth.

In terms of widgets, GXT is to GWT as SWT is to AWT.

To elaborate, GWT is like the old AWT: clunky and fugly. Look how far Sun got trying to impose their...
