    Maybe you need to move your css include below the extjs css include?
  2. Ok, so I fixed it by adding a reader config.

    this.store = {
    model: 'SMB.model.Member',
    proxy: {
    type: 'ajax',
    url: Ext.Loader.getPath('context')+'/member/find' ...
  3. I have a store defined like this, but when I try to load it I get an error message in the console that says "obj.group is undefined". The Safari debug tools don't give any indication of where the...
  4. I was able to get this to work correctly after viewing the source for the toolbar class.

    tbar: {
    ui: 'footer',
    style: 'border: solid 1px #99BBE8; margin: 0',
    items: [{ text: 'Test...
  5. Yeah, that was what we used for 3 but it doesn't work in 4.
  6. Mostly I was hoping someone already knew. I could inspect the DOM but there are plenty of higher priority features to get to first. I wish instead of assuming buttons don't look like buttons in the...
  7. I found a suggestion in the premium help forum to add the following css to make toolbar buttons look like buttons but it doesn't work. Anyone know how to do that?

    .x-btn-default-toolbar-small {...

    Sorry, I was in the process of editing but you can't preview without posting. I provided an updated example demonstrating the failure. Also note that I'm using ext-core-debug.js with dynamic loading...

    Ext.define('Ext.ux.form.Panel', {
    extend: 'Ext.form.Basic',
    alias: 'widget.formpanel'
    });

    Ext.onReady(function() {
    Ext.create('Ext.window.Window', {
    title: 'Edit User',

    This is something that has never been built-in. In the past I've set a listener on the special key event for textfields. You could easily create a FormPanel subclass that did this for you.

    I did some more debugging. I have the following file structure:

    app/
    app/mealManager.js (main file)
    app/models/Meal.js
    app/stores/meals/Breakfast.js
    app/stores/meals/Lunch.js...

    I'll update to beta 2 and see if that fixes it.

    Aparently I pasted in the wrong code. I was actually using this for my model:

    Ext.regModel('belton.models.Meal', {
    fields: [
    {name: 'id', type: 'int'},
    {name: 'title', type: 'string'},...
  14. You could create a model to represent the contents of your form then use getForm().updateRecord() to set the fields and finally save the record.

    Can a mod move this to the "Ext JS Community Forums 4.x / Bugs"?

    Any chance we can get an overview of what these 'built' versions of the framework actually contain (and when we might use them)?

    When I click on my combo the server returns an empty array with the content-type set to application/json however the load mask won't go away. In the console I see "TypeError: Result of expression...

    Currently you need to set autoInit to false as the Viewport class doesn't have an init method.
  19. Instead of setting up the viewport to render to document.body, use Ext.get('contents').

    The slides are on slideshare.

    The video is on vimeohttp://vimeo.com/17705448.
  21. You should look at the ext sandbox example. Using the sandbox files allows you to use the Ext 4 stuff alongside Ext 3 by changing the namespace for Ext4 from Ext to Ext4.

    That is correct. Another thing to consider is that when you define the properties directly on the class (as in the first example) but they are actual objects, they will be shared amongst instances...
  24. Check out Ed Spencer's post on the class definition pipeline. The reason for the new define way is because extending a class is a simple preprocessor action just like the config property.
