  1. It doesn't look like there's any need for you to use the 'hiddenName' config, and having it set the same as your 'name' config could be causing issues. I'd try removing that.
  2. I haven't seen this since I moved to 4.07 - I think it's fixed.
  3. I can't explain FF but in IE it's worth opening developer tools and checking that both locations render in the same modes (browser and document).

I've had issues before with IE forcing...

ironandsteel - that's true, but if you make use of the idProperty config in your Model the field doesn't actually have to be called "id".
  5. I don't think that's any bigger than it should be. It's about half the size of ext-all, and when you consider how much of the framework has to be loaded to display a grid with a remote store, that...
  6. To be honest, it looks like a large part of the problem is just the speed of your server, or your connection to it.

1.5 seconds latency and a transfer time of 7 seconds for ~170k of data is what...
  7. Depending on your debugger, you might find it helps to set disableCaching : false in your loader config (turn off caching in your browser instead).

That will prevent the "?dc=###" being appended...

Juanito - that works but I don't believe it's supported behaviour. The method to do what you want is 'insert', which (as it's currently implemented) uses exactly the trick you've found:

Not sure whether this is considered a docs bug or a code bug - it's an issue with comments in the uncompressed source.

For some reason, IE8 chokes (I get an "Expected ':'" error on the next...

After the disappointing news that 4.1 is another month away, I for one am very happy to hear this. Looking forward to it.
  12. I ran into this yesterday. The best solution I could find was to listen for 'beforeload' on the store and then alter operation.params. I don't think there's an equivalent to baseParams in Ext 4.

  13. I believe the next GPL release is set to be 4.1, as soon as it's final. Later minor revisions such as 4.0.6 aren't released at all.

I'd love to hear an estimate on 4.1 too though. I work for an...

Javascript (Ext JS included) is a client-side language. The code you write executes on whatever computer is viewing the webpage.

  15. Ext version tested:

    Ext 4.02a

    Browser versions tested against:

    Chrome 11
    FF 5.0 w/ Firebug 1.7.3

    Description:
  16. Did you get anywhere with this? I'm seeing it too and it looks like a bug to me.

The easiest place to see it is on the examples page - check:

  17. Hi,

I'm new to Ext so apologies if this is a stupid question.

If I wanted an element to be initially hidden and have fadeIn unhide it, I believe I'd set the element's opacity to 0

    My...
