    there is a "focusEl" in gridView, but I can't figure out what it's used for.

    oh, 3.30, grid creates hmenu in afterRenderUI , so try replace all renderUI with afterRenderUI in ColumnWidthCalculator.js

    and replace this line

    Hi wki01, your code just run fine on my machine, what version of Extjs are you using?
    does your grid have the "enableHdMenu = false"?
    maybe you can debug into GridView's renderUI() to see why...

    I found another problem, the code is ok for firefox, but in IE8, the

  24. the beforeremove event is handled in Ext.data.Node, but not in Ext.tree.TreeNode, so the tree node is removed from Gui but the data node is still in memory.
