  1. Thanks, Colin, I've been using both the workarounds you suggested.

Marking those fields final is just fine, but in order to do common things like override render(), they need to be protected...

  3. I solved this problem by tracking the "currently hovered row" in the MouseMove event. If you're over whitespace, that row is null, and you cancel the context menu.

Thanks, Colin! I knew there had to be something wired wrong, but I could not for the life of me figure out what it was. I really appreciate you tracking that down for us!

  5. Calling setAdjustForScroll(true) on a HorizontalLayoutContainer seemed to have no effect in my app. I dug into the code and found that this is because the scrollbar adjustment is only being made on...

Thanks, Colin, looks like that's the issue. Bummer, since Dev-line Chrome is necessary to run SpeedTracer. I hope Google gets it fixed soon.

Is anyone else seeing this? I open the latest RC2 demo, click on any of the examples (such as http://www.sencha.com/examples-dev/#ExamplePlace:basicgrid, or even just the default overview page), and...

Thanks for the additional info, Colin. When I say the view "scrolls to the top", I mean that once the user scrolls down (I usually use the wheel but dragging the thumb does it too) and forces an...

Is there more information that I can provide that might help get this question answered? Has anyone else used the LiveGrid and had it work for them? I'm getting to the point of being blocked on...

  13. I like the PredefinedButton idea; it makes creating DialogBoxes really easy and powerful. But I don't see an easy way to handle clicks on them. The Dialog example uses a "HideHandler", then just...

I created a LiveGrid that auto-pages in content, following the LiveGrid example. The only real difference is that I'm using an HttpProxy with JSON data instead of RPC. The loading and paging all work...

Thanks for pointing me at the StringQuoter.tryParseDate function. Breaking in that I found that our ISO-8601 date string did not have a trailing "Z" on the end. Leaving off the Z is legal, if not...

I have a ValueProvider<LogEntry, Date> props.timestamp() for LogEntry, which is an autobean loaded from JSON data.

I use that value provider in the following grid code:

I don't know if better search in the examples would be that useful for me at least. For instance, in this case I didn't know I needed a UrlEncodingWriter until I found a forum thread that discussed...

Thanks, Colin, that makes more sense. I was able to get the UrlEncodingWriter working with the HttpProxy by referring to the AdvancedComboBox example.
