    LoadMask hides its element, not itself, via this.getMaskEl().hide(). I guess that's why hideMode on LoadMask has no effect. Here's a solution to hide it using DISPLAY mode:

    I have the same problem, but with only a few displayfields. Each one of them takes about ~1s to load, if I have 4 of them it becomes ~4 seconds for the whole form. And the values are just around 10...
