    The Ext.device.Geolocation.getCurrentPosition method still works. So I setup my own timer and used that method to get the location.

    I only see four parameters for the event 'ActiveItemChange': this, value, oldvalue, eOpts. I tried looking at the parameters but couldn't find one with a proprty 'index'.
