Perhaps not a bug, but more of a warning:
Don't call one of your Ext.form.TextField 'length' or Form.getValues() will return undefined for all properties in IE7 (and probably IE6). Just to add to...
I'd like to be able to convert my existing HTML markup into Ext forms to take advantage of some of the rich components. As far as I can see, only the select component can be converted from existing...
I'm also interested in building forms from existing markup. I'm surprised there's no Ext method to do this already, unless I've missed something ?
I read the thread alex, its a major shame that amazon doesn't do gzip
Sure, but I'd imagine the yahoo servers are way faster.
The yahooapis server seems to respond extremely fast, and its gzipped and more.
There's also the bonus that it may be cached by those...
Has it been suggested that Yahoo might host Ext on their yahooapis servers alongside the YUI files ?
Obviously Ext is not related or affiliated with Yahoo, but it might be a good move on their...
Well considering the spam level has dropped 0 since implementation, I say it's working pretty well :)[/quote]
Thinking about how it works in more detail, I agree :)
What about the validation?...
Thanks for the tip Jack.
From the mailing list I learned that YUI uses a custom event for the keypresses and this explains the problem I was having.
In slider.js you can find the code with...
I'm not entirely sure if this is appropriate - but I'd like to think that this could become a YUI help forum as well as a yui-ext resource. I'm not a fan of mailing lists.
What do you think to...

Is the validation still planned Jack ? I see that as one of the key features for yui-ext !
Also, whats with the new click here if you're a human? I guess it would stop autoit, but not other...

Firebug shows the XML being loaded though !!

Presumably this optimises loading times considerably, especially if you display some static content which doesn't require the scripts initially.

Itll show it in the first column if you dont delete the html from the div.
The page you save saves the generated grid html/iframe within your grid's div.

Firebug shows the returned XML document as loaded by an aSyncRequest.
So I would need the each method to take advantage of information I've added to the model.
Otherwise I send the XMLDocument via an asynchronous request and compare to the original?

The idea being...
How do you get the information out of the DM ?
Use the each method ?
How do I get the XML data out of the model to save it? I can only see load functions.
Also, how would you recommend tracking changes in the dataset? I would like a more optimised solution rather...

I had this problem too - but thought I was being stupid.
My situation is the same, the headers show on the grid columns and the XML is shown as loaded in firebug.
To see the problem...
Nice examples Jack !
I'd like to suggest (and indeed I may write this myself) a brief 'putting it all together' grid example.
So that a user can see what code makes a Grid become an editable...
Can we get an example for a JSON grid similar to the plants XML one? I've never used JSON and can't really work out how to get the data in that way.
I assume its easier for me to work with JSON,...
Ah yes. IE7 doesn't have this problem. Maybe I'll create a hack for firefox :P
I won't pretend I know exactly what is going on, but when you edit a field with a selectEditor on your grid, it flickers as the current element is selected (if it wasn't already selected by the...
I'm using Aptana but it doesn't have PHP support yet.
Some features of it are nice, but it needs time to mature.
The editor Dustin Diaz uses in his screencasts looks quite nice, but its for...
I posted in the other thread also, but not at all. It is your code after all.
The example is just without the blog code - because I spent quite a lot of time extracting !
Maybe as a process,...
