Once again, Sencha showed and claimed huge performance improvements (ie FASTBOOK), but the demo was an incomplete, ultimately non-deployable solution. In other words, vaporware.

And as noted earlier, Ed Spencer stated that he moved that company *away* from Sencha tools and gained a large performance increase, along with better programmer productivity...

Neither I nor any other customer set the 'standard' of v4 being faster than v3. That is how it was advertised. That is the performance that was publicly proclaimed at SenchaCon 2010. That is the...

Exactly what part of Mullany's words:
do you not understand. You call this my standard...it is Sencha's repeated commitment. BTW, if you bothered to search these forums for ..oh, say,...

Just to be sure that any readers of this know the truth about Sencha's failed commitment regarding performance. CEO Mullany wrote this in Nov 2011:

I'm done attempting to communicate with Toady. It's rather amazing to see him try to deny the very problems admitted to by Sencha. This statement:completely proves that he has *not* read the threads...

1. I made no such claim. My claim is crystal clear: v3 was slower than v2 and admitted to be a problem; v4 was claimed to be faster than v3, then admitted to be much slower; Sencha committed to...

Your comments are non-responsive to the issue at hand. Performance was severely degraded for the types of apps documented in great detail in the threads you claim to have read. This was admitted to...

Mitchell, while you may have never said so, the Sencha CEO repeated promised that v4 would be fixed to be faster than v3, and this *never* happened. History lesson:

Well it's certainly the case that Ed would be expected to know how to get the most out of Extjs, and he states that moving from Sencha's product to those he specified has provided:

What irony...Ed is the very one who spoke about the Extjs v4 performance *improvements* over v3 in the video presentation, when (once the class system changes were put in) v4 became much slower than...
Why do I get the feeling that new features to dazzle the uninitiated take complete precedence over show stopping problems such as memory leaks?.... Extjs is supposed to be for single page RIAs and...

Anybody worried about what the support renewal pricing will be next year?
The official public position is what Sencha has posted on their website, and they've clearly shown that it is subject to substantial, unannounced increases at any time. If they start cutting 'deals'...

Try reversing the order of update('') and removeAll(). I just had to do this with ExtJS 184.108.40.206 if the input param to removeAll is true. Either order works with Chrome, but I had to do...
