    Yeah, but then I'd need to go back and change every single Store in my app (there are about 30).

    Is there a way to override the Store constructor before any of them are instantiated?

    Wow! Awesome!

    Do you know how to set this as the default dateFormat for all fields set with type "date"?

    Sure. Thank you again for taking the time to look at it.

    http://jsfiddle.net/AG9KM/1/

    Check the console. For me it shows, "02/03/2012". I'm CST (-0600).

    Ahh! I was desperately hoping the solution would be so simple. Unfortunately, it didn't change anything. :( Thank you for the suggestion.

    Well, the problem isn't that I'm parsing them incorrectly, it's that a datecolumn uses Ext.util.Format.date, which parses the dates incorrectly.

    Ext.util.Format.date('2012-02-04')
    "02/03/2012"...

    This is really insane:

    Ext.util.Format.date('02/04/2012')
    "02/04/2012"

    Ext.util.Format.date('2012-02-04')
    "02/03/2012"

    src/core/src/util/Format.js:

    date: function (v, format) { if (!v) {
    return "";
    }
    if (!Ext.isDate(v)) {
    v = new Date(Date.parse(v));
    }
    return Ext.Date.dateFormat(v, format...

    Not many, really. Just a bottom toolbar.

    I fixed it by destroying the grid and re-adding it to the parent. This seems to get calculated in 100ms, and it works wonderfully.

    I have a grid that gets displayed from two different buttons (different types of search).

    One of the search method requires two additional columns to be displayed in the grid. The latter requires...
  14. Absolutely. All of that logic should be in the controller, but you should use "itemId", or a more specific selector.

    This is a better way to do it:

    Ext.define('Controller', {
    extend:...

    Why not use a FormPanel and use submit's callback?

    form.submit({
    success: function() {
    // code here
    }
    });

    Gah!

    Why is there no prefetch event in the Store documentation? All I see is beforeprefetch!

    This would have saved a thread here.

    Thank you.
