Is there a workaround possible for those of us still on 4.2.0 without grading to 4.2.1. IMO, this is a major showstopper for any enterprise software.

I believe they fixed memory leak issue in IE and some layout performance. We are using 4.2 too and it's ooook. Layout is still slower than 3.x.
