Yea we are, I was trying to give you a suggestion. mvn:install is a feature of maven, not a workaround. Though, it does seem like your process is too rigid to accommodate an external file after all.

We do automated builds too, and there are quite a few libraries we use that are not in the maven repos. We set up a script in our CI system to run prior to build that copies those jars and runs...

It's inconvenient that it isn't in the repo, but you can can still use the manual download with maven. That's what the command mvn:install is for.
  4. Right I understand that it's a widget, I just don't see the sanity in having a parent-->child relationship between label-->field. They should be siblings.
  5. Sounds good, thanks. Even better would be to simply have a "loadingMask" method.
  6. I can show the basic mask without the loading graphic (as in the Grid component), but I cannot override the style to show the loading graphic for an arbitrary component since the extra argument for...
  7. You did not change it because you suddenly realized a HTTP POST wasn't needed, you changed it because FormLayout is no longer there. So actually your answer was wrong.

So, why in UiBinder is a...
  8. The old 2.2.5 explorer examples used FormPanel. So it was making an HTTP post? Preposterous. It used a FormPanel with a FormLayout, which conveniently allowed me in UiBinder to define a Field with a...

Ok, I'm diving into this. Appearance is a bit obtuse, but has a functional elegance to it that I like so far. Can you have a quick look and tell me if I'm doing this right? I ask for some...
  11. In GXT 2.2.5, to show the little loading graphic in the mask message area, I could do something like this:

    comp.mask("Loading...", "x-mask-loading")

I cannot figure out how to accomplish this...
  12. Whoa figured it out right after I posted! Hopefully this helps someone else. I'm migrating a widget from 2.2.5 to 3.0.0, and I use MVP. My UiBinder interface looked like this:

    interface...
  13. Note: running 3.0.0-rc2 since the GA release is not in Maven yet.

I am trying to re-create this example: http://www.sencha.com/examples/#ExamplePlace:helloworld(uibinder)

    I have a button called...

The GXT3 examples uses a FramedPanel with a Vertical Layout instead of a FormPanel. Why?
  15. I see. I always wondered where JavaSourceCodePanel was in GXT, and now I know why it's not there.

    Are you using CodeMirror?
  16. If I double-click on the source code in the source view tab, it loses syntax highlighting.
  17. Yes please! I spent way too long trying to solve this issue.

Even after applying the above fix, I'm still seeing arguments being adding to requests to store files: ?_dc=1336009801123

    Is this ok?

    Pardon my ignorance.

I've read about Appearance, but I don't understand how that helps me create a unified theme for my application. In most web frameworks, you don't have to style each...

I am finding no good resources on how to create themes for either GXT 2.x or GXT 3.0. I've seen exactly two forum posts on this topic: one from 4 years ago that is beyond irrelevant now, and one from...

Thanks for the explanation, Colin. And that link is just was I was looking for but couldn't find. I'm finding that GXT related resources aren't very google-able because sometimes it's referred to as...

I can't find docs anywhere on how to use the legacy module. I'd like to get rid of my 2.2.5 dependency while I migrate. I've inherited it... now what? The jar doesn't seem to contain very much.

I totally agree with nigelpegg's suggestion. I was frustrated by this for quite awhile until I found this thread. What's the point of having getter methods that don't get anything? Also, it'd be just...
  24. Is Sencha Touch 2 known not to work on Android 2.2 ?? I'm having this problem also.
  25. I am invoking goToNode() like so:

    nestedList.goToNode(Ext.create('myStore').getRoot());

The list shows the title in the toolbar correctly with no back button (so it seems like we're at the...
