kinda out of the scope of this client-side framework.... but i suppose you could save the binary data into an abstraction that represents an image (file, perhaps?) and send it back to the browser...

I notice that my extjs application is making multiple requests for this resource. If I do not allow access to this...
  3. I have started a grid plugin that does exactly what the EXTjs version does, however, I haven't had time recently to get to it. I would be willing to open source what I have to get a collaborative...

Your best bet, at this point, is to look at the examples.
If you have any specific questions, post there here and we'll try to help you.

    Good luck
  6. Become more familiar with the com.extjs.gxt.ui.client.data package in the GXT javadocs.
Additionally, become familiar with the com.google.gwt.http.client package in the GWT javadocs.

    GXT does...

The *-shell.cmd files do not compile anything. They launch the "Hosted mode" shell with the application.

The *-compile.cmd files do not compile java to classes. It only compiles Java to...

You need to compile the server side classes yourself (using javac for example). The GWT compile (or hosted mode) script DOES NOT compile the server-side classes for you.

Have the GXT development team not seen this thread?

Can one of you please respond? If there will be no more updates to the maven repo, can you at least please tell us?

    Thanks!

I have downloaded and tried your source code. You will need to explain a little more clearly what problem you're getting. I tried your grids out, and everything seems to work fine for me. I am using...

I agree. The codehaus one is going to be the way to go.

I've had a chance to look at it, and it's still not as mature as the gwt-maven from google code, but I believe once it does mature, it'll be...

I'm pretty sure I've seen darrell answer a question similar to this one.

The answer, I believe, is yes: the two are to be developed in parallel offering the same feature set.

Yes, I looked at your code. First it threw a ClassCast exception because you're code to add a list was actually adding a string; once I fixed that (see below), I was able to see what your code was...

One of the big features of GWT is it's compiler.
The compiler takes the java source code and compiles it down to incredibly optimized javascript.

A wrapper just wraps the javascript: the GWT...

You might want to share more details about your environment. I've seen 3rd party tools and other environment variables drastically influence the size of the GWT-compiled source/output.

No, gxt does not have any problems displaying in a hosted browser. It works as it's intended for both hosted and compiled mode.

You'll need to give more information about the problems you're...
