I'm pretty sure that after that lecture you will be fine.

But as long as you don't do RTFM you are acting as support vampire.
Read the documentation THEN I'm pretty sure there will be people willing to answer CONCRETE and SPECIFIC questions.

Have you even try ExtJS 5?
If you did you should be able to easy figure out how to use them in SA which seems not.
BTW I haven't wrote ExtJS 5 code by hand but after reading docs I haven't...

ExtJS 5.x docs.

Nope, your assessment is correct.

Hello fellow Delphian!
What version do you use?
Last year I did some Delphi 7 development for a California's company and before that I had +/-6 years of not using it.
Well, lets see how this...

That's the reason I'm looking at AngularJS.
As I said the other frameworks (dojo, quooxdoo, kendo, etc.) aren't as good and polished as ExtJS (I have to admit that qooxdoo impressed me, has advanced...

Quite right but problem is not the price but the packing.
Why I have to buy FIVE if only need ONE?

While reorganising classes into packages of an application I wrote using SA 3.0 I bump with the ugly problem of references not been updated.
For example, I have a controlled called BCsGrdCtrl...

Just did that and problem gone, thanks.

Seen from that point of view is correct but remember that the unpaid evangelist are the single developer who tried, use and introduce (even against corporate standards) new frameworks.

Switching to another framework is very expensive:
- Hours lost learning ExtJS
- Hours that you must invest on learning new framework
- MIGRATE ExtJS code to new framework.
14 Oct 2014 7:28 AM
Is not a SA problem but framework problem so you should ask on ExtJS Q&A forum.
But I can guess:
You are rendering ExtJS components in a frame instead of in a "main" page and seems that file...

Looks nice but not as polished and complete as ExtJS.
No MVC neither MVVM.
May be for those who write (spaghetti?) code by hand the migration may be feasible but from my side I'm...

I'm single/full stack developer and brought into production various medium sized (40+ views) ExtJS/JEE/ASP.NET Web Api applications.
Definitely you are narrow sighted fellow

Is the WORST idea I heard about this issue!
1. Not quite sure if the dual license permits that.
2. AFAIK been GPL FORCES YOU to release source code of your applications.
3. Available GPL version...

hahahaha! good one!

I move a VM from my laptop to my desktop computer and now each time I start Architect it asks me for user and password.
Or some kind of HW checking for copy protection?
OS: Windows XP...
Both (you and Sencha) loosed today.
Sencha expected $4825.00 from new sale but get nothing, with previous single seat offering would have $900 in their bank account.
You loosed productivity (no...
Worst part is that Sencha's ExtJS, IMHO, is the best.
Maybe dojo is the nearest but not as integrated and neat as ExtJS.
Yep, they need, as everybody else, make money.
My fear is that such policy (and God knows which other forthcoming ones) will lead to diminished product adoption which, of course, will lead to less...
I already stated that before (you can look previous posts) but is very hard to sell ExtJS against those because AngularJS and Dojo are FREE, open source and you can get far more people who can code...
You are using now ExtJS but we are currently using a TOTALLY DIFFERENT UI FRAMEWORK.
Moving standards on a "big" company is much harder than doing on small or department shops.
Clearly you don't develop for Enterprise / Corporate customers.
We have to maintain huge amount of legacy code which can't be change over the night.
Nevertheless the point is simple: WHY PAY...
