    I think you should read up on CSS specificity.

    dangreenfield,

    An excellent plugin, thank you, lots to learn from it.

    A question: I noticed that there are IE/FF-specific code blocks, and it doesn't quite work in Safari and Opera (chokes on...
  4. Sameer,

    Were you successful in implementing that? I'm looking for something like this as well.

    Please post a solution if you came up with one.

    Thanks!

    You have to fill the store (ds) with your own data. Take a look at various grids in the examples section, like this one - they just fill the store with dummy data from an array (myData).

    You'll need to post your code for the column in order to be more clear..

    Also, you might want to take a look at this wonderful grid example. He uses a combo box in one of the columns. I've learned...
  7. You have to specify an editor for each column that you want to be editable. Something like this:

    {
    id:'fname',
    header: "First Name",
    width: 40,
    sortable: true,
    ...
  8. jratcliff, do you know if it's possible to set a class of a cell outside of the renderer? I'm using jsakalos's grid validation plugin to validate ALL cells and inside it I have access to a cell and...

    Ah, but of course! I left out one little thing that makes this example work:

    hiddenName: 'company',

    This should be in the combo config as well. It should start working for you now. You...

    Try changing the fields array for your json store to this:

    fields: ['symbol', 'company']

    Sorry, ignore the JsonStore - I just copied and pasted from my code. You just need to see the difference between valueField and displayField.

    You probably weren't reading the answers very attentively.

    valueField: 'countryCode', // like 'CA'
    displayField: 'country', // like 'Canada'

    So in your case it will be something like...
  15. Hm, didn't know that. Good work and thanks for sharing!
  16. I, for one, would love to see the code for this. An example is one thing (and, once again, what a marvellous example it is!), but for people that have moved on and are implementing grids all over...

    var p_combo_country = {
    xtype: 'combo',
    fieldLabel: 'Country',
    hiddenName: 'country',
    store: new Ext.data.SimpleStore({
    fields: ['countryCode',...

    Have you looked at it in Firebug to see if the form is being submitted?

    Maybe you'll want to take a look at Josef's UploadPanel plug-in that is supposed to ease the process of uploading files....
  20. Do you want the scrolling to always appear? It will appear by default if the content doesn't fit in the panel.
  21. Couldn't find the 'tooltip' config option in the API for text fields. Perhaps the msgTarget:'qtip' will help you achieve the desired effect. You'll also need to specify the text to be displayed in...

    All three are definitely possible. Exactly, just play with it: get one of the examples that use a combo box (like this basic one), look at the API, and try to make it do what you want.

    Good luck!

    Definitely. That's what I'm pounding my head on for a while now. :)

    One more question: in your opinion, where would it be best to call the isValid() from if one wanted to validate the data which...

    I see. But wouldn't that be taken care of by the grid anyway? For example an empty mandatory cell is being marked as invalid when clicked even without running the plugin. The usefullness of the...

    Thanks a lot, looks like a very useful plugin!

    Tried to get it working, but can't quite get it yet. My invalid test cell is not getting assigned the 'invalid' CSS class because its preventMark...
