  1. When I use "sencha app build package",

    All the compressed javascript files end up with "Western European - Codepage 1252", the default on my windows machine.

  2. A data URI for fonts is actually a 'restriction':

    It sounds more like a security precaution since CSS font data could host...
  3. Well after some hacking, got working builds on Android, iOS and Windows, and generic HTML 5.

    I'm using a 'bogus' size monitor which fixes a lot of unnecessary refresh issues.

    Blink is being brought to Chrome / the browser, so naturally web based Sencha touch applications should work.

    Android *WebView* will likely continue to use WebKit for some time. Even if Google...
  9. The problem with Sencha Touch is it heavily depends on webkit CSS 'mask:' to use with tab icons and more.

    In short it can work with IE10 but you need to heavily change the CSS & markup.

    The problem is a 'tap' event fails in Sencha Touch as soon as you 'move'.

    A simple fix is allow 1-2 touchmove events before you invalidate the tap:

    On an Asus 300 4.0.3 upgraded to the latest JB 4.1, I find scrolling as good as iOS.

    I think I came up with an elegant solution:
    Added CSS:

    .x-centered-horizontal {
    height: auto
    }

    .x-centered-vertical {
    width: auto
    }
  18. I found that most 'performance problems' are related to the 'painted' event:
    ComponentPaint.js
    Dispatcher.js

    showBy: function(component, alignment) {
    var args = Ext.Array.from(arguments);

    var viewport = Ext.Viewport,

  20. Ran into this issue, quick fix:

    field/Radio.js

    getValue: function() {
    return (this._value) ? true : null;

  21. var picker = new Ext.picker.Picker({
    width : 400,
    height : 400,
    showAnimation : {
